CompWest Insurance Company, a dynamic and growing Workers' Compensation insurance carrier, has Claims Examiner positions available in both our Santa Ana and San Francisco locations!
CompWest is re-inventing the manner in which Workers Compensation Insurance services are provided to employers and Injured Workers. CompWest is 100% owned by Accident Fund and received an ‘A’ rating by A.M. Best.

Responsibilities:
• Contact with insured’s, Injured Worker, agents, and parties involved • Complete initial investigation of claim: 3-pt contact • Evaluate claim information and work with the client to pursue claim resolution • Adhere to CA Labor Code • Work with claims manager • Facilitate claim reviews • Work with Loss Control & Underwriting departments
Requirements:
• Qualified for designation as an Experienced Claims Adjuster in accordance with California regulations preferred • Strong knowledge of medical terms and CA workers’ compensation codes • 3 -5 yrs workers’ compensation claims experience • SIP preferred • Excellent communication skills • Ability to multi-task • Possess excellent decision making and analytical skills • Provide excellent customer service • Computer proficient • College Degree or equivalent experience preferred
