Inside Quality Assurance Appraisal Specialist - Sacramento, CA
Job Description
Liberty Mutual has an exciting opportunity in our Automobile Claims - Physical Damage operation. We are seeking individuals who are interested in launching and advancing their career as an Auto Damage Appraiser Quality Assurance Specialist. As an Auto Damage Appraiser Quality Assurance Specialist you will review appraisals from a team of Inside Appraisers to ensure quality and proper file handling.
Responsibilities:
Review appraisals indicating costs for parts, materials and labor necessary to restore vehicles to their pre-damaged condition.
Provide claims personnel with expert advise on vehicle repair, parts costs, garage expertise and opinion on whether specific damage is related to a particular accident.
Assist claims personnel in determining when a damaged vehicle should be classified as a total loss.
May assist in the training of staff and evaluation of staff, independent and Direct Repair Program shops.
Complete Direct Repair Programs re-inspections, supplements as warranted to verify damage or confirm repairs are completed
SKILLS REQUIRED
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Extensive knowledge of automobile part and repair techniques.
Thorough understanding of automobile terminology and vehicle construction.
Knowledge of automated claims appraisal systems and overall claims operations.
2 - 7 years of appraisal or related experience preferred.
