Overview:
Purpose of Position: To supervise assigned claim personnel (subrogation claim representatives). Duties are performed within prescribed units of authority and claims policy, practices and procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Supervises, coordinates, and monitors activities of assigned claims staff in order to obtain an accurate, quality product while maintaining high production and performance standards.

- Schedules, prioritizes, and distributes workflow of the unit to ensure work is done in a timely fashion and all deadlines are met.

- Provides technical assistance to members of staff and assists them with overall claim handling and the disposition of claims.

- Maintains current and accurate data relating to pending, Salvage Cycle Time, Rental Time, Loss Adjustment expenses, etc.

- Insures compliance with State, Federal and Company regulations regarding the handling of Total Loss claims.

- Supervises training of staff. Evaluates and gives guidance to staff on an ongoing basis as to their abilities and duties.

- Recommends procedural changes: plans, organizes and implements these changes.

- Keeps current on all changes effecting unit's work production.

- Maintains a direct diary on all claims within assigned unit.

- Coordinates and acts as a liason with other supervisors or branches with whom their unit interacts.

Qualifications
Required:

- High School Diploma

- 5-10 years of claims experience with a strong auto liability or subrogation background.

- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Good keyboard and automation skills.

- South Carolina or Rhode Island adjuster license required within 3 months of hire.


Preferred:

- College degree

- 3 + years supervisory experience of techical level staff.

- 3+ years auto liability experience.

- Arbitration/Litigation experience.

- Commercial and Personal automobile experience.
