Position Summary
This position is an inside, desk position reviewing physical auto and property damage claims to ensure they meet company and industry standards. The Auto/Property Damage Examiner will use electronic estimating software to assess auto and property damage, appraisals, supplements and subrogation. The position will also negotiate settlements with body shops and provide technical expertise & consultation to inside liability adjusters on physical damage issues.
Position Requirements:
• 2-5 years of experience writing auto or property damage appraisals and State Appraiser License
• Hands-on experience in auto body repair, refinish, mechanical, frame, suspension and other related automotive components are a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• I CAR, ASE and other industry coursework and training preferred
• The candidate must have estimating proficiency and a good knowledge of available sources for parts networks and industry qualified resources
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Computer competency
